Safety Advice

Interacting with other families for the first time can be both fun and daunting. There are many nuances and cultural etiquettes which can make the experience more stressful than it needs to be i.e. cooking lavish meals for every rishta.

We want you to get to know other families in the easiest and safest way possible so we have put together a list of valuable tips to help you along the way:

Don't give out your mobile/landline number
It's always worth waiting until you know another family a little better before you share your contact details. We have it covered with messenger, audio and video chat. If someone asks for your number straight away, politely decline.

Report unwarranted behaviour
If you come across a suspicious member on the site or someone has been rude to you, do not hesitate to report them to the Customer Care team using the report button on their profile or send us a message or email.

Meet in a public place
Keep it as simple and stress-free as possible and initially meet in public before the formal introduction at the family home. When you meet another member for the first time, do it in a public place like a restaurant or a café. Do not go to their home and do not give them your address.

Arrange your own transport
Don't let another family pick you up from your home on your first meeting. Check the time of the last train/bus/tube.

Tell other family members or a friend
Inform someone you know and trust that you are going on an initial meeting with another family or individual and give them details of where you are going.

Stay connected
Make sure your phone is charged before your meeting.

Never give money
If someone you are communicating with on biyebiye.com asks you for money or your bank details they are likely to be a scammer.

Monetary fraud online
If you have experienced this, please report it to Action Fraud immediately

Uploading photos and videos
It's great to upload pictures and videos of your family so other members can get to know you a little bit better. However, please ensure that you do a quick sense check before you do so that you do not reveal sensitive information i.e. your front door number.

Take action
If you have encountered an incident of a serious nature call the police straight away and report your experience to Biye Biye through our Customer Care email: customercare@biyebiye.com

One more thing, if something doesn't feel right- it usually isn't!

Our adorable Customer Care team work hard to protect our members while keeping the site relaxed and enjoyable. In order to have the safest experience, we ask you to use your best judgement when connecting with others.
